Marketing and Communications Coordinator

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator promotes awareness and a positive public image of the Chamber through digital marketing, area publications, and chamber events. Under the supervision of the Chamber President/CEO, will also design and create promotional items for the Chamber including banners, brochures, flyers, posters, programs, slide shows and logos to be used for various publications, both in print and online. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will support the President/CEO and other staff with special events, meetings, and front office responsibilities when necessary.

Medical insurance coverage after 90 days. The chamber will cover 80% and the employee 20%. The chamber covers 100% of dental coverage. Life insurance will be provided at 2X your salary covered by the chamber. You will receive sick and PTO time after 90 days of employment. You will be paid for 9 holidays and have one floating holiday to use at your discretion. You’re eligible for a retirement plan after one year of employment, at a match of up to 7%.

Position:

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator promotes the Chamber and its members through digital marketing, print, special events, and collaborating with organizations with like minded interest. The individual will design promotional materials for the chamber and its affiliates, at times. The coordinator will be responsible for recording and keeping updated records on the chamber membership and dues benefits on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Markets products by developing and implementing marketing, advertising materials and campaigns for chamber events or programs.
  • Manage and keep the website updated for the chamber and its partners.
  • Tracks sales data, maintains promotional materials inventory, plans meetings, maintains databases, and prepares reports as requested.
  • Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; and updating chamber calendars.
  • Tracks and inputs new member sales and renewals along with special events. Will track sales, and expenses for events or programs. Invoice clients as needed through the chamber system.
  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting and analyzing membership dues and benefits categories as needed and using the system used by the chamber.
  • Helps plan meetings by sending virtual invites out as needed. Coordinates mailing lists through membership system
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and webinars as required.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by being a team player and helping out where needed.
  • Explores opportunities to add value to the chamber.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing or two years or more in related field
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing
  • Demonstrable experience using marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
  • Experience managing or assisting with special events (Ex: Golf tournaments, dinners, awards ceremonies, etc)
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools
  • Some photography experience is required

This will be an hourly position, forty hours per week, Monday through Friday with some weekends, based on special events. Normal hours will be 8:30-5:00pm, an 8 hour work day with a half hour for lunch. Hours can be flexed if approved by the Executive Director. The position is in office primarily, with limited ability to work from home by approval.
